Assessor Development Program (ADP)
QAIT workshops have been replaced by the Assessor Development Program (ADP). Workshops will continue but in a slightly different format and there will be other opportunities developed to provide ongoing training for our assessor workforce.
ADP workshops
In 2010 there will be ADP workshops in March, May July, September and November.
There will be a mixture of four hour and full day workshops. In Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, the four hour workshops will be run twice to accommodate smaller group size.
All workshops will require assessors to complete some pre-reading, that will be sent to all assessors via email two weeks before each workshop.

May 2010 (four hours)
This ADP workshop is about Gathering evidence about resident experience.
Pre-reading was emailed to assessors on 6 May. There is no time allocated during the workshop to read this material.
The learning outcomes of this workshop will enable you to:
- Explain the principles and processes of gathering sound evidence
- Corroborate information obtained from residents while maintaining their privacy and confidentiality
- Evaluate evidence in terms of competence, relevance and sufficiency
- Work together with a team to share evidence and come to a team recommendation about compliance
- Demonstrate a consistent, fair and objective attitude to weighing evidence.
